Selecting the appropriate needle length is one of the key factors in successfully establishing intraosseous access. Based on the patient\u2019s anatomy and soft tissue thickness, the 15 mm needle is selected when the shorter distance to the bone allows safe access to the bone marrow cavity. <\/p>\n
The needle is designed for use with the SAM IO manual driver. Following successful insertion, removal of the stylet exposes a standard Luer-Lock connection, allowing a syringe, infusion set, or other compatible medical device to be connected. <\/p>\n
