When intravenous access cannot be established or there is no time to obtain it, intraosseous access becomes one of the most important options in emergency medical care. The SAM IO Intraosseous Access System is designed to provide rapid, reliable intraosseous access without dependence on batteries or electrical power.
Unlike systems that use electric-powered drivers, SAM IO operates entirely through a mechanical mechanism. Needle rotation is generated by repeatedly squeezing the trigger of the driver, eliminating the need for batteries, charging, or additional power-related maintenance. This provides greater reliability during long-term storage and when operating in challenging environments, including low temperatures, field operations, and emergency situations.
Once the needle has been inserted into the bone marrow cavity, the stylet can be easily removed, providing access through a standard Luer-Lock connection. Needle rotation is generated by repeatedly squeezing the trigger of the driver, eliminating the need for batteries, charging, or additional power-related maintenance.
Does the system require batteries?
No. The system is operated manually using a trigger mechanism.
What needle lengths are available?
15, 25 ir 45 mm, all 15G.
How is an infusion connected?
Once the stylet is removed, a standard Luer-Lock connection is exposed.
