HEMGUARD is a specialized pressure dressing designed to control bleeding in anatomical areas where conventional pressure dressings are difficult to secure reliably or where maintaining adequate pressure is challenging. It is designed for wounds to the neck, axilla, groin, and amputated extremities, as well as other difficult-to-bandage areas where anatomical constraints make conventional circumferential wrapping difficult or impossible. The integrated targeted pressure applicator directs and helps maintain pressure directly over the packed wound, which is particularly important when the casualty is being moved, transported, or evacuated. Consistent pressure helps keep the wound packing gauze in the correct position and reduces the risk of displacement or disruption of the formed blood clot. The four-way strap system allows the securing direction to be adapted to the wound location and the casualty’s anatomy, enabling reliable fixation even where standard circumferential wrapping is not possible. HEMGUARD is designed to provide targeted, stable pressure from initial bleeding control through casualty transfer to further medical care, making it a suitable solution for first aid providers, emergency and tactical medical personnel, and rescue professionals.
