HEMGUARD is a specialized pressure dressing designed to control bleeding in anatomical areas where conventional pressure dressings are difficult to secure reliably or where maintaining the required pressure is challenging. The integrated targeted pressure applicator in the HEMGUARD design allows pressure to be directed and maintained directly over the packed wound. The four-way strap system allows the dressing to be secured from different directions according to the wound location and the casualty’s anatomy. This method of fixation is particularly useful in the groin, axilla, or neck, where a standard pressure dressing often cannot be wrapped and secured effectively.
