SAM XT Hi-Viz Blue is the blue version of the standard SAM XT tourniquet, designed to control life-threatening extremity bleeding. Its construction, operating principle, and technical specifications are identical to those of the other SAM XT colour variants.
The tourniquet features the patented TRUFORCE™ buckle, which helps achieve proper initial strap tension and reduce slack before tightening. The TRUFLEX™ plate provides structural stability, while the durable metal windlass rod is used to generate the pressure required to stop bleeding. The tourniquet also features a clearly visible area for recording the application time.
SAM Medical offers this model in three colours: black, orange, and blue. All are fully functional SAM XT tourniquets intended for actual use; therefore, the Hi-Viz Blue colour does not indicate a training or simulation model.
The highly visible blue colour makes the tourniquet easier to identify among other first aid equipment and may be particularly useful in situations where equipment visibility is important. SAM XT Hi-Viz Blue is suitable for professional first aid, emergency medical, and other bleeding control kits.
