FCP-09 is a sterile large-area trauma dressing designed to cover large and complex wounds and help control bleeding. It is intended for situations where a standard-sized dressing does not provide sufficient coverage, such as abdominal wounds, evisceration, extensive burns, or traumatic amputations.
The large 12 × 12 inch (approximately 30 × 30 cm) sterile pad provides coverage for a greater area of damaged tissue and helps protect the wound until further medical treatment can be provided.
The integrated pressure applicator allows the dressing to be adapted according to the type of injury. When bleeding control is required, such as in cases of traumatic amputation, the pressure applicator can be used to apply direct pressure to the wound area.
In situations where direct pressure is inappropriate or could cause additional injury, such as in cases of evisceration, the pressure applicator can be bypassed, allowing the dressing to cover and protect the wound without applying pressure.
FCP-09 is supplied in double vacuum-sealed packaging, which helps protect the sterile dressing until use and allows it to be stored compactly in a first aid or trauma kit. Its large coverage area and the ability to adapt the dressing technique to the specific injury make the FCP-09 suitable for emergency medical, tactical medicine, and rescue situations where rapid and appropriate protection of a large wound area is required.
Can it be used with exposed organs?
