Description

Russell Chest Seal is a chest wound dressing designed to seal penetrating chest injuries while allowing air and blood to escape from the pleural cavity. The integrated one-way valve allows air and fluids to exit while limiting their re-entry into the chest cavity.
A large central opening in the main body of the dressing helps ensure accurate positioning over the wound and reduces the risk of obstructing the drainage opening.
The dressing is supplied pre-folded, making it compact and convenient for storage in first aid, trauma, and tactical medical kits. When unfolded, the dressing measures 20 × 15 cm and weighs approximately 20.5 g.
